The delegation of Russian hajj mission met with the deputy minister of hajj of Saudi Arabia

The delegation of Russian hajj mission that is headed by the first deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation Rushan hazrat Abbyasov this year met with the deputy minister of hajj affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Hussain Bin Nasser Bin Abdullah Hazza Al-Sharif.

The meeting was also attended by the deputy mufti of Crimea Ayder Ismailov, deputy mufti of the Chechen Republic Muhammad Arif Abdusalyamov, deputy mufti of the Republic of Dagestan Muhammad Mankoev, representative of the Russian hajj mission in Saudi Arabia Kurban Umaraskhabov and the country's leading hajj operators, including the head of Muslim Tour company Ali hajji Gurdin.

Within the course of the meeting, Rushan hazrat greeted Dr. Al-Sharif on behalf of the hajj affairs officer of the Religious Communities Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation, deputy chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov and the spiritual leader of Russia's Muslims mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin. He expressed his gratitude to the Saudi party for organizing hajj for more than 2 million pilgrims last year, saying that the Russian pilgrims were satisfied with the hajj conditions in 2015 season.

Dr. Hussain Bin Nasser Bin Abdullah Hazza Al-Sharif in his turn explained the new and more comfortable conditions for hajj this year. He also noted the upcoming end of restoration works in Masjid al-Haram and the unveiling of a new high-speed train connecting Jeddah, Mecca and Medina in 2017.

The parties also discussed the hajj quota for Russia that remained at the same level this year as well as the articles of the Protocol to be signed by the Russian Hajj Mission and the Ministry of Hajj of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah.

The agreement and the protocol are signed by the parties annually during the preparation for the year's hajj season.

Last year's hajj was attended by more than 14 thousand pilgrims from 65 regions of the Russian Federation.
