GHANA HAJJ 2019: GHANAIAN PILGRIMS READY FOR UMRAH

Ghanaian pilgrims who left Medina to Mecca have left Meekat after taken on their Irham with the intention of performing Umrah at Masjid Haram in Mecca. The pilgrims are currently en-route to Mecca in exotic buses secured by the pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana.

GHANA HAJJ 2019: FIRST BATCH OF GHANAIAN PILGRIMS LEAVES FOR MECCA

First batch of Ghanaian pilgrims have left Medina to  Mecca to continue with the Hajj process after spending two days in Medina visiting the Prophet's Mosque and important historic sites. Pilgrims are expected to perform Umrah immediately they arrive in Mecca as part of Hajj Tamattu.

Ghana Hajj 2019: first batch of 462 Ghanaian pilgrims airlifted to Saudi Arabia


First 462 Ghanaian pilgrims from the Northern zone of Ghana have been airlifted to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this year's Hajj. The aircraft took off from the Tamale international airport at 12:45pm Ghana time and are expected to arrive in Medina around 6:45pm Ghana time and 9:45pm Saudi Arabia Time. 
The minister of interior Ambrose Derry, who represented the president of Ghana bid the pilgrims a warm farewell and among the entourage were the Chairman of Hajj board and other members of the Board including government delegation .
The flight take off was successful and the operations of the pilgrims Office of Ghana have been described has satisfactory as we wait for the airlift of the rest of the pilgrims.

 Alhaji Inusah- Member of the Hajj Board and leader of the Advance Team in Makkah, took the representative of Office 44, the Service Office in-charge of Ghanaian pilgrims in Makkah on a familiarization visit to the hotels Ghanaian pilgrims will be residing in Makkah.
This visit is to keep the Service Office abreast with these hotels for the smooth running of activities.

GHANA HAJJ 2019: OVER 90% HAJJ VISAS ISSUED FOR GHANAIAN PILGRIMS

According to the facebook page of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana, over 90% of Hajj Visas have been issued for prospective Ghanaian Pilgrims for this year's Holy exercise in Saudi Arabia. Advance passenger manifest has been generated for all Northern flights scheduled to take off in Tamale. last set of Visa issued to be handed to agents a week before first flight. Orientation for security support team and stakeholder forum are completed as part of this year's Hajj operations.

Ghana Hajj 2019: hotels ready for pilgrims

As part of preparations to welcome Ghanaian pilgrims in Mecca and Medina, the advance team of the Pilgrims Affairs of Ghana have printed and posted Ghana flags on walls of the hotels  that will accommodate the pilgrims. The hotels are of high standard and has been considered as one of the best hotels in Saudi Arabia to host pilgrims, this was as a result of well organized national Hajj organization through the leadership of I.C Quaye and the management of Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana. This year, pilgrims will have ease in performing Tawaf since the hotels are not far from Masjid Haram in Makkah.

The posted Ghana flags are among other things help pilgrims to easily identify their prospective hotels and this will be replicated in Mina and Arafah.

VIDEO: Ghana Hajj 2019: Hajj board educates pilgrims and the Public on live TV show

The pilgrims Affairs office of Ghana has part of its education on Hajj preparations and outlining guidelines including prohibited items that are not allow entry into Saudi Arabia during Hajj season. Issues of security at the Hajj Village inside Aliu Mahama sports stadium and other issues regarding the welfare of pilgrims were discussed on a live television discussions on Sagani TV, a local television station based in Tamale.

GHANA HAJJ 2019: ALL IS SET FOR INAUGURAL FLIGHT IN TAMALE

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana has adequately prepared for the airlifting of Ghanaian pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this year's Hajj. The official airline has been secured, travel dates unchanged and all arrangements put into order. Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana advance team in Saudi Arabia, Medina to be precise are on stand by to receive pilgrims with all logistics available.

The first flight is scheduled and confirmed on July 24, 2019 at the Tamale international airport, the capital of Northern region.

HAJJ 2019: King Salman to host 1,300 Hajj pilgrims from 72 countries

RIYADH: King Salman has ordered 1,300 pilgrims from around the world to be hosted during this year's Hajj season as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, the general supervisor of the program, said the order was evidence of the Kingdom’s efforts to take care of the interests of Muslims.

He said that the total beneficiaries of the program since its inauguration had reached 52,747 pilgrims from around the world.

Earlier, King Salman ordered 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims who are family members of martyrs to be hosted while they performed Hajj.
Al-Asheikh said the ministry would follow up on the pilgrims’ traveling process through its embassies in Egypt and Jordan.

The ministry would also finalize all procedures needed for their travel to the Kingdom on private flights, and offer services to help them perform Hajj.
