VIDEO: HAJJ 2019: 82 YEAR OLD SOUTH AFRICAN WOMAN EMBARKED ON HAJJ FOR THE FIRST TIME

For the first time, an 82 year old South African woman is embarking on this year's Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ma Zulekha converted into Islam at the end of this year's Ramadan( fasting) in Johannesburg, South Africa where she resides. She will turn 83 years of age a day after Arafah day which is August 11, 2019.

Few minutes to departure to Medina for the Hajj at the ORT international airport in Johannesburg, a reporter with the channel Islam international, Shiraz Randeree interacted with her for about two minutes. Among other questions asked by the reporter is her inspiration towards her Holy journey to Hajj. " We must never doubt and think is too late to go on Hajj,did i ever seen that Allah will choose me at the age of 82? never, never but i never gave up hope or fail and Allah who has called me will guide and give me the strength to perform the Hajj' she said.
