2019 HAJJ: BIOMETRIC DATA CAPTURING UNDERWAY AT THE HAJJ VILLAGE IN ACCRA

The compulsory Biometric  data capturing for prospective pilgrims in the southern part of Ghana is underway at the Hajj village in Accra, the capital city of Ghana supervised by officials of the Ghana airport company, Ghana immigration service and officials of the pilgrims affairs office of Ghana.

The turn out for the first day of the data capturing exercise is very encouraging with appreciable number of prospective pilgrims and Hajj agents in attendance to have their Biometric data captured.

The exercise was introduced by the Saudi Arabia civil Aviation Authority last year to reduce arrival waiting time for international pilgrims and work load for airport data clerks at the various airports in Saudi Arabia during Hajj seasons.

Officials at the pilgrims affairs office of Ghana who supervised the exercise express high hopes for a successful exercise and they reiterated for the need for prospective pilgrims to pay their Hajj fares in time to avoid inconveniences for both their outfit and the Hajj agents.

Biometric Data for prospective pilgrims in the middle belt and the Northern sector will be captured next month in Kumasi and Tamale respectively.
